Lew Platt Memorial Service

Lew Platt Memorial Services
Tuesday, October 18 at 3 p.m.
Stanford Memorial Chapel

Parking Instructions: It is recommended to carpool and arrive on campus at least between 2-2:30 p.m. as this is expected to be a large memorial and parking is very limited near the Stanford Memorial Chapel.

Free parking and shuttles are being provided at Galvez Field (a Eucalyptus Grove near Stanford Stadium). Directions: take El Camino past Stanford Stadium to Galvez (across from the corner of El Camino and Embarcadero and the Palo Alto Town & Country Shopping Center and Palo Alto High School).

Go south on Galvez past Stanford Stadium to the corner of Galvez and Campus Drive. This is the Galvez Field parking lot. Stanford University officials stated that there will be shuttle buses to the Memorial Chapel every few minutes before and after the service.

Alternatives include:
- parking along the Oval (only recommended if you arrive very early) and
- the Parking Structure on Roth Way behind the Museum (about a 3/4 mile walk to the Stanford Memorial Chapel).
